Call it what you will, I call it faith. I'm not saying my way is right. Everyone needs to be true to their own convictions. I'm confident in one thing, that I'm living THE LIFE.

My name is Josh Ritz and I recently moved back to Southwest Colorado after spending nine years in LA excelling as a personal trainer, both at the corporate level and as a private PT in the entertainment industry. I spent my teenage years to my late 20s living in Durango, CO enjoying the outdoor lifestyle. While maintaining a busy schedule as an environmental biology major at Fort Lewis College, I always made time to stay fit. I've had a passion for fitness for as long as I can remember while thoroughly enjoying assisting people reach their fitness potential and goals. I specialize in building strength, lean muscle and losing body fat. Looking forward to helping people reach a healthier lifestyle.

I love Pilates because the practice enables me to do everything I want physically and mentally but BETTER!! My whole life I have been active; in my recreation (trail running, skiing, telemark racing, mountaineering, horseback riding, Yoga and Tai Chi), and in my work (I spent 20 years in Natural construction). When a back injury slowed me down, I found Pilates which reeducated me about how to move properly and it changed my life in such a positive way! I now strive to help others discover the many benefits of a pilates practice incorporating the pilates Principles of proper Breath, Spine elongation, Core control, Alignment, and Whole Body Integration into an exercise routine that anyone can do to balance, support, and empower themselves!!

I am passionate about all aspects of fitness, and especially LOVE group exercise. The music, the camaraderie, the pure fun - of people coming together to be stronger - puts a smile on my face. I began leading fitness classes when I moved to Telluride in the early 90s, and feel gym workouts are a great compliment to the many outdoor adventures we embrace as mountain people. My teaching style is inclusive and challenging, where modifications are always offered. The highlight of my day is walking into Fuel, where our team leader Becca has brought together an awesome group of talented, compassionate professionals who I feel honored to work with.

I fell in love with health and fitness during my yoga certification training. It is there that I discovered the importance of nurturing the mind, body and soul. Group fitness classes allowed me to check all three of those boxes. I believe that every workout (especially spin!) should be supplemented with yoga. My classes are designed so that everyBODY can feel welcome and challenged. I am a recent resident of Telluride and Fuel is my home away from home. I look forward to meeting you!

I'm a 21 year resident of Telluride with a loving passion for all outdoor sports. I find drive in the mountains and use sports like skiing, hiking, biking and yoga to fuel this love. My time at Fuel is dedicated to making a stronger body and mind to pursue these activities into the future. I love to inspire others with my zest for adventure, health and fitness. Equally, I am inspired by all the members walking into fuel everyday with their varied fitness and life goals!
